Life Through the Lens// Hot Air Balloon Adventure

Sometimes the stars align, and it feels like...magic. This year we thought it would be fun to go see the annual hot air balloon launch in downtown Provo. When we arrived at the launch site, most of the balloons were already mid-air, swiftly drifting westward. So, instead of getting out with the crowd and watching the balloons fade in the distance, we decided to follow them. Of course, I was anxious to get a great photo of the hot air balloons in the morning light, and we were suddenly part of an exciting adventure.

I immediately fell in love with the pretty striped one, and we began following it. As it headed further and further west we realized it was serendipitously going to land down on Danny's family farm. Danny quickly became essential in assisting the balloon's landing and take down, and I could photograph the magical scene to my heart's content. It was a perfect morning.

Hello There...

So... we have Internet people! Hello 2014 and modern technology.

With that, comes the matter of this little blog. It just hasn't been possible to keep it up to date without the Internet... and I've kind of just come to forget about this little space of mine. Instagram has pretty much become my new blog... it's just so convenient.

So... with that said I think I'm still going to give it another go here, and hopefully make this the blog I have always wanted it to be.

We've got two very important birthdays this week!! Danny and Max!! So I'll try to keep up on posting photos! (dear Internet, we need you!)

How has a year gone by so quickly?! This little man of our is walking running all over the place! He's the little light of our lives and we are so proud of him! He's into everything and busy as can be... as so it looks like that's all the time I have to write today. Hope you enjoy the photos!

It's been too long! I thought we were going to get the Internet at the beginning of the new year, but clearly that was not the case. Evidently it should be installed sometime this spring. I don't have much time to write, but thought I would share a couple of quick photos of my growing boy. I can't believe how fast he is growing up--he'll be eleven months old this coming Sunday. He's working on taking his first steps, saying a few words, and busy as can be. I hope to write more very soon, but until then you can follow our daily adventures over on Instagram!
