Life Through the Lens// Hello Dolly

I just had to share a couple of cute photos of my pretty Dolly girl enjoying a sunny autumn afternoon. I think Fall is her favorite season. She seems especially happy crunching the leaves beneath her paws as she runs. Oh, I love her so much! I'm so grateful for her love and companionship.

Around Here// Hello Dolly

Little Max still has a very unhappy tummy. We are hoping it gets sorted out soon. He is such a trooper through it all.

Our first baby, Miss Dolly, has also had a hard time these last five months. She's had a serious case of puppy depression and anxiety--not joking. The adjustment of a baby in the home has really been tough for her.

We got her into a new vet and he prescribed some puppy meds that finally seem to be helping. She runs and plays harder, she has an appetite back, and she just seems to be a bit more at ease. Such a relief!

Here's to happier healthy littles. (and a happier healthier mama too...)

Around Here// Love My Littles

Poor little Max has been struggling with acid reflux and colic for the last several weeks. It's been pretty hard to get much done around here, because he just wants to be held and comforted twenty-four hours a day-- it's been the most wonderfully exhausting seven weeks of my life. When he was in the hospital I could only hold him for feedings--which were honestly stressful and challenging for both of us. It was really hard to see him suffering and not be able to pick him up and comfort him. Even though it is really hard to keep up with everything, I love that I have been able to hold and comfort him so much over the last month while he hasn't been feeling well. I can't wait for him to be healthy and happy. It breaks my heart to see him so uncomfortable all the time. We are hoping things will improve soon with the new medication and formula the doctor prescribed.

As for my Dolly, she adores little Max and is very sweet with him. Even still, she's had a really hard time adjusting to the changes in our routine, and having to share my attention. She came into my life when I wanted so much to be a mama, and she is used to having all of my love and attention. Hopefully some medication will help her too. It's so hard for me to see her suffering, and not have the ability to do much about it. I hope she and Max will become best buddies, and that soon she'll adapt to the changes around here. I love them both so much.

Needless to say with all that's going on around here taking time to upload photos just hasn't really happened. There will be plenty of time for that later, I think.

Life Through the Lens// Dolly and Lincoln

I really can't say how happy the warmer weather is making me. Miss Dolly and I love heading over to Mom and Dad's home in the afternoon for a little playtime with the kids. We all just head straight for the backyard. The littles play ball, make messes in the dirt, and run; I try to keep my camera handy to capture it all. I love seeing how well Dolly plays with the kids. It looks like she's trying to convince Lincoln to sneak her some treats or something in the later photo. He's thinking very carefully about it--"hmmm... will we get in trouble for this?"

Yesterday Max was so active while we were playing outside... I think he wanted me to be sure to recognize that he was there too... He's anxious to come and be part of the fun! Soon little one. Soon!

Scrapbooking// Hello Best Friend

I might be in love with this page. It may or may not have been inspired by the color scheme for Max's nursery--the nursery that we haven't started on yet because we don't know where we will be living. I think we'll be sticking with more grey//yellow//teal and just little pops of orange... but I guess we will just see how it shapes up. I adore this photo of Dolly and I. It so perfectly shows our everyday life together. She is always right there at my side--the two of us are rather attached to one another. I just love my Dolly girl.
